Booking a dental appointment
All babies, children and young people under 18 years who either live in or go to school in South Australia can attend one of our clinics.
There are no waiting lists for children, and you will receive the next available appointment.
We recommend children have a dental check-up at around 12 months of age.
When your child turns 18, they may be able to continue accessing dental services at one of our clinics for adults.
No out of pocket costs
There are no out of pocket costs for kids who:
- Haven’t started school
Or are covered by:
- the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (Medicare)
- a Pensioner Concession Card
- a Health Care Card
- a School Card Scheme
For children not covered by any of the above, it will cost $50 for dental services provided in a calendar year.
Any dental emergencies treated at a clinic between check-ups are also covered by this fee.
