Preventing tooth decay

Jessica Clark SA Dental HR0723 0858

A healthy diet helps prevent tooth decay

Plain tap water is the best drink. Try to limit the number of times a day your child has sugary foods and drinks.

Replace high-sugar foods with healthier choices, such as fresh fruits, raw vegetables, nuts, crackers and reduced-fat dairy foods.

Choose sugar-free medicines where possible.
