We are committed to improving the oral health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

How to prepare for your appointment

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

If your child is feeling unwell or cannot attend due to illness please contact the clinic to reschedule your appointment.

Please bring the following

  • Your Medicare Card, and/or Concession Card (if you are using the Child Dental Benefits Schedule).
  • Your debit or credit card (some fees may be payable).
  • Information about any health conditions your child may have.
  • Any comfort items for your child, such as their favourite toy, fidget item, device or their favoured communication tool.

Appointments

When you arrive at the dental clinic, visit the reception desk.

You will be asked various questions, including basic information about your child’s name, address and date of birth.

We will also ask if your child attends school, we will record the school name and year level.

Your child may be covered by the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), we will ask you if you consent to use your dental benefits at our clinic.

Our reception staff will speak to you about any costs for your child’s appointment. See costs for more information.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcomed at all SA Dental sites, with some restrictions.
