Professional Development LINK (PDL) launch

Our new professional development learning platform supports our generalist clinicians with a contemporary approach to professional development.

As part of our Strategic Plan 2026, we aimed to provide clinicians with a contemporary approach to ongoing professional development learning.

The PDL has been developed in two parts:

  • an online platform (Coassemble) to provide generalist clinicians with a suite of on-demand curated learning resources
  • and a clinician-led discussion forum (Microsoft Teams).

The PDL allows clinicians across the service to connect and exchange clinical knowledge, case studies and ideas for improving clinical service provision.

The resources can be accessed by clinicians anytime, anywhere.

This program has revolutionised how we offer ongoing professional training for our clinicians:

  • There is now an online library of resources produced by our clinicians that is available to clinicians on demand.
  • New resources are uploaded to the library as they become available.
  • Their availability no longer limits operators to only the option of travelling to the city for routine lectures and presentations.
  • Ensures all operators have received the same training and enables ongoing quality improvement.
  • It empowers clinicians to identify their training needs, make suggestions for content and be involved in creating this content.
"

Since launching in May 2023, thirteen courses have been made available to clinicians, with 525 enrolments and 389 course completions.

In addition, 61 clinicians have joined the online clinician forum.
